Military)
P-51D-5-NA Mustang, 44-13298, "Marie",
QP-Q, 2nd FS, 52nd FG, 15th AF, MTO circa Aug 1944.
This aircraft was flown by pilot Maj. Freddie F.
Ohr, C.O. of 2nd FS. Major Ohr flew combat in the
P-40, Spifires, and P-51D Mustang during the
Mediterranean campaign. He was credited with 6 aerial
shootdowns and 17 ground aircraft destroyed. His
combat gallantry and exceptional flight skill
awarded him the Silver Star (twice), the DFC
(twice), the Bronze Star and the Air Medal (19 times).
This FSX repaint for the A2A Simulations P-51D
(military) attempts to recreate his aircraft so that it
can once more be enjoyed and flown in its aerial
environment which it served with distinction and
grandeur worthy of the fabulous fighter aircraft of
many years past.

The
inscription below his name is his Korean name spelled with Korean
Hanja characters "Oh Jeong Gu". "Oh" was Ohr's ancestral
Korean surname but was adapted to "Ohr"
in the USA.
